Program Overview
Like most companies, private law firms seem to recognize the importance and value in having a workplace that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Yet the legal industry continues to underperform other professional services firms in this area and may have even lost ground on several metrics over the last few years (even setting aside COVID impacts). Our speakers are leaders in this space and will share their thoughts on how in-house counsel/legal departments can leverage their relationships and purchasing power to move the needle on diversity, equity, and inclusion among private law firms. The moderated panel discussion will allow time for participant engagement and questions.
Speakers:
Kodwo Ghartey-Tagoe, Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for Duke Energy
Shalanna Pirtle, Partner at Parker Poe and Interim Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Dan Currell, Managing Director at AdvanceLaw
