COVid-19 Relief fund

In lieu of our annual Lawyers' Impact Fund Campaign, the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation has established the COVID-19 Relief Fund to help those affected by the impact of the Coronavirus in Mecklenburg County. The COVID-19 Relief Fund will address the immediate and longer-term needs of Mecklenburg County’s most vulnerable residents who have been impacted by the Coronavirus. Government officials and businesses have taken sweeping measures to halt the spread of the virus by closing schools, delaying travel, cancelling events and having people work remotely. These challenges have disrupted our lives physically, socially and economically. We are concerned about community health, and the potential for working families to face economic hardship and food insecurity in the months ahead.

To kick off this new campaign, the MBF has identified three agencies providing immediate COVID-19 relief for our neighbors facing remote learning challenges and food insecurity. Our goal is to launch the campaign by raising $22,500 to support Classroom Central, Angels & Sparrows Soup Kitchen, and the Matthews Help Center.

We need your help now, more than ever, to help serve those who need us most. To help meet urgent needs, please consider making your gift today so that we can provide support to these agencies as soon as possible.
