Topic: Panelists from different backgrounds, practice areas, and perspectives answer questions and engage in a discussion about how to prevent, identify, address, and remedy sexual harassment and gender discrimination in the workplace.
Panelists and Qualifications:
Janice Reznick is the Deputy General Counsel for Wells Fargo’s employment law section. She reports directly to the General Counsel and is the head of the entire employment division.
Meredith S. Jeffries, Member, Alexander Ricks PLLC: Meredith has more than two decades of experience in the area of labor and employment law, and offers Alexander Ricks’ clients comprehensive transactional, counseling, training, and litigation services with respect to all aspects of the employer/employee relationship.
Missy Owen, Tin Fulton Walker & Owen: Missy represents clients in state and federal criminal courts across North Carolina, handling cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies. Missy has particular expertise in sex offense cases, where she has represented clients in the pre-indictment phase, at trial, and on appeal.
Chris Strianese, Strianese Huckert LLP: Chris has spent his entire career litigating employment cases. At Strianese Huckert, he represents the victims of discrimination and sexual harassment.
Assistant City Attorney Dana Cuberson: Dana serves as legal counsel to the Charlotte Department of Transportation and provides legislative support. She advises on matters pertaining to constitutional issues, policy/constitutional litigation, and arts and cultural projects. She also provides legal counsel to several quasi-judicial boards.
Registration refunds are 1) 100% refundable for requests made 8 or more days before the event; 2) 75% refundable for requests made 7 to 4 days before the event (a 25% processing fee will be incurred); and 3) non-refundable for requests made 3 days or less before the event. Registrants requesting refunds 3 days or less before the event may be offered the option to transfer the registration to a substitute attendee. Payment is due in full if no cancellation is received or if cancellation is received 3 days or less in advance of event.
Reservations are not guaranteed if received less than 24 hours prior to the event. Registrations at the event door will be accepted on a space available basis--additional charges may apply. For some events, food or beverage is not guaranteed for last-minute registrants.
A sponsorship and/or advertisement refund will only be granted in the case that the Mecklenburg County Bar does not fulfill the commitment(s) stated in the signed "Sponsorship/Advertisement Agreement".
Refunds on any fees paid to the Mecklenburg County Bar Lawyer Referral Service are subject to the specifications of the MCB LRS Guidelines.
Exceptions or requests for refunds not covered by the above registration refund policy may be considered for approval by the MCB Executive Director or his or her designee.
