Charlotte Legal Diversity Clerkship
Assignment Law Firms and Legal Departments
Potentially sevem students selected to participate in the 2016 CLDC program will be randomly matched with a law firm and a corporate legal department. Although all of the law firms are located in downtown Charlotte, a number of the participating corporate legal departments are not.
Each law firm will set the compensation for its clerk based on the compensation provided to its summer associates. The corporate legal departments will determine the weekly compensation for the second six weeks of the program.
Selected clerks are responsible for securing proper housing during their summer in Charlotte; however, the CLDC program is happy to provide resources and recommendations on housing options. Some firm representatives may have additional resources or provide subsidized housing during the summer.
Selected clerks are responsible for securing appropriate transportation to satisfy work and program requirements during the summer.
