This program will provide an overview of cybersecurity and privacy issues that increasingly implicate both attorneys’ and their clients’ business operations and risk profile. It will include:
• Overview of the latest state and federal regulatory developments and discussion of prospects for the future
• Discussion of considerations specific to legal practitioners as it relates to their internal policies and procedures for handling confidential information
• Case examples highlighting the pitfalls facing the unprepared
• Takeaways for counsel to apply to their own practices and to help advise their clients in dealing with addressing the cyber threat
> Participants are responsible for paying the $3.50 NC State Bar fee. The State Bar will bill you for this fee.
