There is an increasingly gray area in Massage Therapy industry when it comes to interpersonal space. With the rise of the #metoo movement, the pendulum is swinging in a new direction. A male therapist can find himself a victim of reputational smearing following a mere accusation by an opportunistic woman just as quickly as a woman can be the victim of sexual assault at the hands of an unscrupulous male therapist.

This program is intended to briefly explore plaintiff and defense liability issues facing the massage client, massage therapist and spa/business owner.

The views and opinions are not necessarily those of the 26th Judicial District Bar.
