Avvo and other online marketing platforms have landed in North Carolina, and is already changing the legal landscape. With its attorney rating profiles and its online platform for finding and employing lawyers, Avvo’s business model raises difficult new ethical issues. Our speakers have gained a deep understanding of these issues through their service on the Avvo subcommittee of the State Bar Ethics Committee. The views and opinions are not necessarily those of the 26th Judicial District Bar.
