2020-21 cIVIL lITIGATION SECTION REPORT
John Brickley, Chair and Amy Hunt, Vice Chair

During these unprecedented times, section leadership continued to offer section members various educational and networking opportunities to keep section members connected and informed during this unique and challenging year.

The section’s annual business meeting was held on August 12, 2020, during which, the chairs recognized outgoing section leadership, met other section members, and reviewed the agenda and financial health of the section for the upcoming year. Section members also had the opportunity to make recommendations for section activities.

During the year, the section offered its members 1.0 “Complimentary” General CLE hours with the presentation of “Cross Examination Tips from My Cousin Vinny - ABC's of Story Telling & Legal Writing.

The section also co-sponsored QPR: Suicide Prevention Training, a Bar Wide CLE, which offered 2.00 Substance Abuse / Mental Health CLE hours and complimentary admission for a limited number of MCB members.

As a “thank you”, section members received a Starbucks gift card. The section also made a generous contribution towards the MBF Covid-19 Relief Fund.

Notwithstanding the challenges of Covid-19, section membership and participation increased during the year.

The Civil Litigation Section is always exploring ways to enhance membership experiences. Please submit ideas to sections@meckbar.org.
