The MCB CLE Committee has adopted the following procedures:

Speaker Expenses:

Each request for reimbursement will be considered on an individual basis.  Only travel and accommodation costs will be subject to review.  A speaker's gratuity will not be paid by the MCB.

Approved 2/27/1993

Video Replays - Individual Law Firm Showings:

Due to State Bar mandates that CLE programs must be open to the Bar at large, that at least five members view the program to receive credit and that a Bar  representative be present to accurately record attendance and CLE credit earned, individual law firm showings of replays will be limited.

If a firm opts to run the video replay for their members only and do not advertise to the general Bar, a $25 rental fee per attendee will assessed.  A Bar representative will not be in attendance  and no CLE Credit will be earned.

If a firm would like to hold the replay at their office and earn CLE credit, the Bar would cooperate in publicizing the showing, but would charge the live tuition fee plus a fee for staff time.

Sale of Seminar Videotapes:

The MCB CLE Committee reaffirms the existing CLE videotape rental policy and will not make it a practice to sell videotapes except on an individual case basis limited to government related agencies.

Judicial Registration Fees:

The MCB CLE Committee reaffirms its policy to waive the CLE seminar registration fees for members of the District, Superior, and Federal Bench, excluding charges affixed to food or beverages.
