Please describe in 150 words or less why you would be the best candidate for this position: Thank you for electing me as one of your State Bar Councilors twice before. Having served on the State Bar's Grievance, Authorized Practice, Distinguished Service Award and Communications Committees, my commitment to serving the public and fellow lawyers remains clear. During my 22 years as a North Carolina lawyer, I've experienced first-hand the challenges and rewards of practicing in both a "small" firm and a "large" firm. Along the way, I’ve been blessed by invaluable mentoring, made close friends and worked to hone my judgment and practice skills. I’ve also come to understand that, as lawyers, we’ve all chosen what is a truly demanding profession and business that also provides us with rewarding opportunities to serve not only clients but also the public and fellow lawyers. I would welcome and embrace the honor and privilege of continuing to serve--with integrity and enthusiasm--as one of your State Bar Councilors.
