Program Details
Assignment Law Firms and Legal Departments
Potentially eight students selected to participate in the 2013 CLDC program will be randomly matched with a law firm and a corporate legal department. Although all of the law firms are located in downtown Charlotte, a number of the participating corporate legal departments are not.
Compensation
Each law firm will set the compensation for its clerk based on the compensation provided to its summer associates. The corporate legal departments will jointly determine the weekly compensation for the second six weeks of the program. Complete compensation information will be available at the time of the 2013 CLDC interview.
Housing
Selected clerks are responsible for securing proper housing during their summer in Charlotte; however, the CLDC program is happy to provide resources and recommendations on housing options. Furthermore, firm representatives may have additional resources or provide subsidized housing during your stay with the company.
