Nominations Sought for Extraordinary Pro Bono Service

 

The MCB Collaborative Pro Bono Committee is accepting nominations for the MCB Awards for Extraordinary Pro Bono Service through Friday, January 11, 2013. 

 

Outstanding Individual Attorney

Criteria: Has contributed extraordinary service to provision of pro bono services for indigents, children or non-profit agencies by providing legal services directly or by developing programs or projects within the volunteer's firm.

 

Outstanding Collaborative Project

Criteria:  An association of MCB members that has done any one or combination of the following: 

 

A.     Contributed an extraordinary amount of pro bono services directly to indigents, children, or non-profit  

         agencies serving indigents or children; or

 

B.      Provided an extraordinary impact for justice to indigents, or children, or developed particularly innovative

         or enduring projects or programs that serve indigents, children, or non-profit organizations that serve 

         indigents or children; or

 

C.      Demonstrated a dramatic improvement in its pro bono services to indigents, children, or non-profit

         organizations that served indigents or children in the previous year.

 

The Awards for Extraordinary Pro Bono Service will be presented on January 31, 2013 during a dinner celebrating MCB and MBF leadership and volunteer service at Charlotte City Club. Details on the dinner will be available on MeckBar.org and the January edition of the Mecklenburg Bar News.
