The Mecklenburg County Bar & Foundation Center is now located at 1123 South Church Street, Suite 103, Charlotte, NC 28203 in the Charlotte Catholic Diocese Center. All telephone and fax numbers and e-mail addresses are the same.

2013-14 Budgeting Process
All MCB members are invited to provide input at a meeting of the Finance Committee on June 19, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. and/or tender budget suggestions to MCB Treasurer John Nipp.

Free First Year of YLD Membership for New Admittees
Beginning in the fall of 2013, each newly-admitted lawyer in Mecklenburg County who is eligible for membership in the MCB Young Lawyers Division will be granted FREE membership in the YLD throughout the fiscal year.

Now Appointing 2013-14 Committee Members
One way you can get involved with your Bar, develop relationships with your colleagues and advance into a leadership position is to join MCB committees. Each June, the new Bar president appoints a new class of members to each committee - most for a three-year term.

Courts' Corner: Chief Judge Whitney
Hon. Frank D. Whitney assumed the position of chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina on Monday, succeeding Judge Robert J. Conrad Jr. who reached the mandatory seven-year limit for serving in that capacity.

Bar Election Results
All active members of the MCB were mailed a ballot for Judge Bell's seat. This ballot must have been returned by Tuesday, May 21, 2013 to be accepted for tabulation.
