Charlotte Legal Diversity Clerkship

Application Process

 

All first-year law students (expected to graduation date Spring 2017) who advance the value of diversity in the Charlotte legal market are encouraged to apply for the Charlotte Legal Diversity Clerkship. Eligible candidates will be asked submit the following application materials by 12 p.m. on Fri., Jan., 23, 2015:

 

·         Resume

·         Copies of college and first semester law school transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable)*

·         Writing sample

·         Applicants must submit a brief statement (1-2 pages) explaining how he or she would contribute to the goal of creating a more diverse legal community in Charlotte, and why he or she would like to practice law in Charlotte.

 

*If first semester law school grades are not available by the application deadline, applicants should submit any available grades with their application and submit additional grades as available.

 

Applications must be received no later than 12 p.m., Fri., Jan. 23, 2015 at the following address:

Any applications submitted by e-mail should be sent in one electronic file.

Selected applicants will be invited to interview in Charlotte on Tues., Feb. 17, 2015, and the morning of Wed., Feb. 18, 2015. Reasonable travel and lodging expenses for persons selected to interview provided. The applicants elected for interviews will be invited to a reception on the evening of Tues., Feb. 17, 2015.
