Accepting Nominations for Board of Directors

 

In accordance with Article XII, Section 12.2(b) of the MBF bylaws, interested members of the Mecklenburg County Bar are encouraged to submit their names or the names of other active members of the Bar for consideration as nominees for various offices and board of directors’ seats for the MBF fiscal year beginning January 1, 2015.  

 

Names should be submitted no later May 31, 2014 to Nominating Committee Chair Douglas M. Jarrell; MBF Executive Director Nancy M. Roberson; any member of the MBF Nominating Committee or mailed to Nominating Committee, c/o MBF, 1123 S. Church St., Ste. 103, Charlotte, NC 28203.

 

The Nominating Committee will meet on June 17, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. at the Bar & Foundation Center at 1123 S. Church St., Ste. 103 to consider all nominees, and a proposed slate of officers for 2015 submitted by MBF Incoming President Katherine S. Holliday. Additional nominations may also be made from the floor.

 

The slate of recommended officers, class of 2017 and one seat for class of 2016 will be presented to the MBF Board of Directors at the August 26, 2014 meeting for election.

 

The Committee shall approve nominations to serve in the following offices for the 2015

term:

  • Vice President (one-year term)
  • Secretary (one-year term)
  • Treasurer (one-year term)
  • Board of Directors (one seat for Class of 2016, two-year term to fill a vacancy, six seats for Class of 2017, three-year term)
