Carolinas Mock Trial Invitational Tournament

Volunteer Judges Needed

The Charlotte School of Law is hosting the 1st Annual "Carolinas Mock Trial Invitational Tournament."  This competition is being co-sponsored by the Mecklenburg County Bar.

The School is looking for attorneys and judges from Mecklenburg County to volunteer to be judges at the competition.  The premise of this competition is a battle of North and South Carolina schools.  Law schools from both states (including Duke, UNC Chapel Hill and Charleston) will be competing for bragging rights as the "ultimate" trial advocacy students.  Please volunteer and see the "up and coming" young lawyers of North and South Carolina.

What we need is for you, the local attorney and judges, to volunteer for a block of time to judge a competition round.  All competition judges will be briefed on the trial issues and scoring requirements.  Each round will take approximately 3 hours and will allow time for judge feedback to the competitors.

The School needs 38 volunteers from the community.  Please feel free to volunteer for multiple times.  Volunteers are needed for the following time slots.  You will need to arrive 30 minutes early for a briefing on scoring and rules.  Meet in the lobby to check in.
