Please describe why you would be the best candidate for the open judicial position:

Judges are tasked with interpreting and applying the law in a consistent and unemotional manner. This objective fits perfectly with my abilities, experience, and personality. I am fair, even-tempered, methodical, and open-minded. I excel at analyzing facts using logic and reason to determine the correct outcome under the law. I have more courtroom experience than most attorneys in my class year, having argued before nearly all levels of courts in North Carolina. Prior to law school, I worked successfully as an underwriter, where I analyzed facts, applied rules, and made exceptions within my authority to determine the correct outcome. In doing so, I made reasoned, value-based decisions, which I recognized as affecting people's lives in potentially significant ways. My abilities, experience, and temperament enable me to interpret and apply the law in a consistent and unemotional manner, making me the best candidate for the position.
