2014-15 Future Bar/Foundation Center Committee Report

Co-Chairs Pender McElroy and Bill McMullen

The Future Bar/Foundation Center (FBFC) Committee made substantial progress in 2014-15. On November 19, 2014 the MCB officially moved in to the new Bar and Foundation Center. CLEs, receptions, mediations, community gatherings, and other events including the MCB Cares 5K Race have been hosted at the new Center.

The December Grand Opening was canceled due to ongoing leaks primarily from the balconies, and incomplete punch list items. FBFC Co-Chairs Pender McElroy and Bill McMullen continue to work with MBF Owner’s Representative Katie Tyler and Myers & Chapman to finalize remaining construction items and the lease between the MCB and the MBF.

This lease was approved by the MBF Board of Directors on June 23, 2015 and will be reviewed by the MCB Board in July 2015.
