MCB Volunteer Spotlight

Christopher Tucci and Jeff Schwartz

In February we spotlight our Christopher J. Tucci of Barclays Capital Inc/Barclays Bank and Jeffrey J. Schwartz of Schwartz Law Firm, P.C.  Christopher and Jeff serve as Chair and Vice-Chair, respectively, of the newly created Lawyers As Volunteers Advisory Committee or LAVA.  Christopher says he is "excited to be in the role of Chair in the inaugural year of LAVA".  Along with Jeff Schwartz and a team of other dedicated folks, they hope to build a structure that will allow the Bar to increase volunteerism while bringing appropriate accountability to these activities.  During these tough economic times, when the need for legal services is great, MCB members can continue to make a difference in the lives of their fellow citizens most in need of legal services. If you would like to get involved with volunteer activities or pro bono work, please contact Heather Blackley at hblackley@meckbar.org or 704-375-8624 x115.
