MCB January Lawyers Luncheon

Featuring Charlotte Historian and MCB Member David Erdman on "Scenes of Charlotte: The History of Charlotte in Pictures"

 

 

David Erdman was born on the Fourth of July at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He grew up in Bridgeton, North Carolina near New Bern. He attended Duke University on an Angier B. Duke Scholarship and graduated from Duke with a Degree in Biomedical Engineering. In 1973, he worked on the investigative staff of the U.S. Senate Watergate Committee. David moved to Charlotte in 1976, where he now eHheads the law firm of Erdman and Hockfield LLP.

 

David is a member of the Historic Landmarks Commission of Mecklenburg County. He is a frequent lecturer and media commentator, having delivered over 150 presentations about the history, geography and future of Charlotte.

 

In 2012, David co-chaired the MCB committee that produced the Mecklenburg Bars Centennial Exhibition at the Levine Museum of the New South. The exhibition is currently on display at the Bar & Foundation Center.

 

David is married to Lynn Erdman, a national Vice President of Susan G. Komen For the Cure. They have two daughters, one of whom is a nurse and the other completing a Masters Degree in teaching.

 

Your Bar invites you to join your colleagues at a regular monthly lunch meeting to eat, socialize and hear remarks this month from Mr. Erdman. These luncheons are held at First Presbyterian Church (200 W. Trade Street) from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m. (doors open at 12 p.m.) The cost is $10 per person.

To register for today's luncheon, please contact the MCB staff liaison, Sara Taylor Moore, at 704/375-8624 ext. 124. Registrations received the day of the event cannot be guarenteed.

 


 

Registration Cancellation / Refund Policy

Board Approved 1/24/13

 

Registration refunds are 1) 100% refundable for requests made 8 or more days before the event; 2) 75% refundable for requests made 7 to 4 days before the event (a 25% processing fee will be incurred); and 3) non-refundable for requests made 3 days or less before the event. Registrants requesting refunds 3 days or less before the event may be offered the option to transfer the registration to a substitute attendee. Payment is due in full if no cancellation is received or if cancellation is received 3 days or less in advance of event.

 

Reservations are not guaranteed if received less than 24 hours prior to the event. Registrations at the event door will be accepted on a space available basis--additional charges may apply. For some events, food or beverage is not guaranteed for last-minute registrants.

 

A sponsorship and/or advertisement refund will only be granted in the case that the Mecklenburg County Bar does not fulfill the commitment(s) stated in the signed "Sponsorship/Advertisement Agreement".

 

Refunds on any fees paid to the Mecklenburg County Bar Lawyer Referral Service are subject to the specifications of the MCB LRS Guidelines.

 

Exceptions or requests for refunds not covered by the above registration refund policy may be considered for approval by the MCB Executive Director or his or her designee.
