Swearing In Ceremony

Spring Swearing-In Ceremony and Swearing-In Court Sessions

The Mecklenburg County Bar will offer one formal Swearing-In Ceremony and two Swearing-In Court Sessions.

The MCB Swearing-In Ceremony offers new admittees the opportunity to be sworn-in with the majority of their peers in front of a panel of judges from many of the courts present in Mecklenburg County.  Remarks are made by the presiding federal and presiding state judges and the MCB President.  The MCB Young Lawyers Division Chair calls each new admittee to the front, in groups of 10, and the new admittee's sponsor presents the admittee to the Bar and Bench.  Following the Ceremony, new admittees and their guests have the opportunity to meet and network with members of the Bar and judiciary at a complimentary reception.
