For more than a century, members of the Mecklenburg County Bar have dedicated their unique skills and knowledge to ensure that our community is healthy, humane and just.  Lawyers have demonstrated their commitment to enhancing the quality of our civic life in countless ways.  Strategic pro bono representation, elected and appointed office, nonprofit board service, and thought leadership by lawyers have created meaningful and lasting change in Mecklenburg County and beyond.  During this lunch conversation, Dianne Chipps Bailey of Robinson, Bradshaw and Hinson will explore the evolving landscape confronting lawyers in community service.  She will discuss strategies to manage personal and professional risk associated with voluntarism in an increasingly complex regulatory environment marked by vigorous governmental enforcement actions and heightened media scrutiny.  The goal of the luncheon session is to give emerging and seasoned lawyers alike the confidence to honor the Mecklenburg County Bar's legacy of leadership by serving today with passion and purpose.
