Program Planners:

Matt McKay, Guardian Ad Litem, Juvenile Law Section Chair and Mitchell Feld, Council for Children's Rights, Juvenile Law Section Vice-Chair

 

This program is specifically designed for judges and attorneys involved in court cases and representing clients who have mental health diagnoses, and where their clients' parenting skills are at issue.  Topics to be covered include:

 

·         Mental health and mental illnesses

·         The impact of various mental diagnoses on a parent's parenting skills and abilities

·         Representing mentally ill parents in court

 

Virginia Hart, Ph.D., obtained a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Forensic Psychology, and is the director of the Forensic Psychological Evaluations team at CMC - Randolph

 

Max Nunez, M.A., LPA, achieved a Master's degree in Psychology and has extensive experience both as a clinical psychologist and in conduction evaluations for the Courts

 

Terri Watters, Ph.D., obtained a doctorate in Forensic Psychology and has worked as a psychologist with CMC-Randolph for six years.
