Program & Speakers:

Entities: Title companies have experienced a number of claims due to lack of authority of a person executing a business entity, such as a corporation, limited liability company (LLC), or partnership.  Lack of authority often results in a total loss of title.  In this CLE we'll discuss the necessary information needed to assure that a party executing the document on behalf of the entity has the proper authority to do so

Surveys: Why should attorneys and title insurance companies worry about survey matters?  Why don't buyers get surveys?  Why don't lenders care?

Access: What is "legal access"?  What does a title policy cover and what is added by the ALTA 17 and 17.1 endorsements?

M. Scott Mansfield and David P. Milling, Chicago Title Insurance Company
