The introduction to Representing Veterans CLE is designed to prepare private lawyers who do not practice in this area of law to represent veterans in VA disability and other claims on a Pro Bono basis, through the LSSP Veterans Legal Services Project.


Topics Include:

·         Basis Eligibility for VA Benefits, Dependency and Indemnity Compensation and Pensions

·         VA Service-Connected Disability Claims and Benefits

·         Appeals to the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims

·         Discharge Upgrades


Representation of claimants before the VA requires accreditation.  This CLE will fulfill the requirement that an accredited attorney, after receiving VA accreditation, take a three-hour CLE.  To obtain accreditation, download an application form at:
